    Bloomington 2012

I realize NCRS and Bloomington are not the same but after seeing many of the same judges at both i watned to give a shout out to the judges who worked in the sun last week and did a great job. my little 65 went Gold... but i was more impressed by how the judges handled owners who learned the hard way the numbers on there engine were not correct. great job guys. this is the 2nd or 3rd time i have seen this happen but am always amazed how the judging team handels the upset owners, and turns the incident into an education experince for everyone.

by the way show was good, stressful, as this is my first runat Bloomington. next National 2013 and a PV.....

Excellent Glass Time, 54's were well represented with Chris Sherman, Fred Terry, BJ Cantelle, and myself receiving Gold Certification. All 4 cars were done by their owners. I know Fred completed his restoration in his small 2 car garage. DIY restoration lends to endless hours of restoration talk ( numbers, dates, "my car had this", and great restoration tricks and tips. Great weather and great friendship!

I have almost the identicle comments as it was first time being judged with my 65. I found the judges to be honest, sincere, professional and able to explain their desire to make each and every Vette better! I was truly impressed!! My little 65 verte scored a Silver, blew me away!

Thank you for making the sport/hobby/passion that much more important!

First time I've been to Bloomington in probably over 30 years. It has changed a bit I must say, the cars were great.

I was a little disappointed by the swap meet. I guess Ebay has made swap meets kind of a thing of the past.

Here are a few photos I took while I was there.

My '01 Z06 on the Corvette only golf course parking.

'67 Big Block Coupe with less than 3000 miles...There's another thread here about it.

First time I've ever seen the '59 Stingray in person...I've read about it since I was a kid.

The Cerv 1, one of Zora's pet projects. The Mako Shark 1 in the background.

'70 LT1 Also with less then 3000 miles.

Black/Silver '65 Coupe. Chatted with the owner for some time, a really nice guy.

          Silver '65 Interior, NICE!

          The Green.

An amazing '65 Fuelie...Took Best of show for restored I think. The owner was kind enought to let me take a lot of pictures.
I promised another guy there I would email him the images but I lost his email address. If he's around here shoot me a PM.

          New 427 Roadster....Future Classic???

I agree with Ron - "issues" with trim tags and stamp pads were handled with the upmost professionalism......very classy

great pics Mike, the black 65 w/silver interior on the judging field is mine, and what fun it has been working on it. the time spent talking with Chris and Lynn and the rest fo the 1953 and 54 group has me looking for a solid axle to work on next.
