C2 Broken Engine Mount Bolt (Thanks)

I wanted to thank all who advisedme on how to fix a broken off engine mount bolt in a previous thread. I did end up pulling the engine as was advised. I purchased a Kit from snap on. I have attached pictures. The bolt also as advised was very hard to remove. There would have been no way to do this task with the engine still in the car. I am going to go a head and rebuid the engine now that it is out.

It is amazing how much work one broken bolt can lead you into. Glad to you posted the pictures. I have a similar tool from Sears, but have not yet had the need to use it. Good to see that they work. I have broken too many EZ outs through the years. Good luck with the rebuild.

Great job Frank, don't let the machine shop talk you into removing metal from block and heads. Just do a stock rebuild, reuse oil pump if it's the original and in good condition, and keep those bearing clearances in the .002 range. If the bore is 4.005 or less I would consider knurling piston skirts and keep standard bore.
