    tele turn sinal switch repair

Gentlemen, I have a tele column turn signal switch that the plastic has broken on. I have tried to epoxy it and also tried JB weld. Does any one know of a great product that will really adhere to the plastic as well as to metal, or is it a hopeless endeavor? It is broken in half where the bearing resides. I have thought if I could get something that will adhere to the plastic as well as metal that I would glue the two halves together around and onto the bearing.

I believe SEMS has a problem plastic epoxy, but it is close to $40 a tube plus the applicator which I believe is a little more.

Russ, it sounds like a thin piece of sheet metal and some small rivets would work better than any epoxy.

Russ, being in the automotive trade I would think that any expoxy might be a bad idea, Its a high wear item and something that is used a lot, and lever
has some resistance when moving the turn signal lever. I would think a replacement switch might be the better opiton and that steering column does not dissy. very easy.

Ed, I did buy a new one and put it in but I was hoping to also save the original one.
