    EOS after break in?

Is there any benifit or reason not to put EOS in after the first oil change after cam break in? I use CJ4 oil with EOS for the break in on a runnng engine stand. It is a flat tappet 69 396 350HP. I guess I am just paranoid about the cam.

    Keith,

I don't think using EOS after cam break in is a good idea. Too much ZDDP is not a good thing. Just use CJ-4 oil.

    Good luck!

If it has an OE cam and valve springs or something close, you don't need to use EOS after break-in. CJ-4 has more ZDDP than the oil that GM installed at the factory in 1969.
