This is probably really simple, but I removed my headlamp switch from my 63 and am trying to put it back. The problem is that the switch knob slides all the way back into the switch without locking (it pulls right back out). Pushing the spring-loaded plunger has no affect on this. Am I missing a step here?
Thanks,
Mike

No one answered so I thought I would give it a try. Just a guess but possibly someone removed the knob without using the plunger and broke the internal part that holds it in.
I have in the past had the same issue and so I removed the switch and disassembled it. I don't recall exactly what was wrong but I was able to get it to work again.
I tried Peter's suggestion: I took it apart and rotated the shaft then re-assembled it. It worked fine then, but, I have no idea why
Thanks, guys
