History of my Corvette

Hello,
I'm come from the Netherlands and restoring a 1961 Corvette at this moment, including mount a complete new frame, bought by vette-products.

The vinnumber of the car is: 10867S108622

Is there somebody who can tell me sonething about the history of my corvette? Pre owner(s) and where the car is come from.

Hello Hans,
I don't have an answer for you, but there are people that perform searches to try to identify previous owners of Corvettes. I have never used their services so I can not tell you how sucessful they are of what the cost is. They advertise in Driveline, so if you are an NCRS member you should receive that publication and can see how to contact them.

From whom did you buy the car? Someone must have imported it to the Netherlands from the US (I don't think it was originally an export car). I would start looking there. Contact the person that sold it to you. Ask who imported it. Ask the importer to identify the person that shipped it (from the US). Perhaps your customs service has recoords of the importation. Sometimes you can get lucky.

I would highly recommend Bill Gould at AutoAncestry.com, he helped me find the 10 previous owners of my '67. He has also worked on other cars for me, he goes a good job. He is also an NCRS member.
