Is lacquer not available via mail order from venders that mainly deal in paint? PPG was once a supplier of lacquer after Dupont stopped selling it for automobile painting.

I will take someone EXTREMELY skilled at color matching to panel paint with todays lacquer. None of the old mixing colors are available and what you get is an offset color.
