69 BB Accelerator Cable

Hi,

I've read a lot of archives and books on the correct cable for my L68, which leads me to ask if anyone supplies the correct length one for the Tri Power. I always wondered why my current cable had a large bend and now i know why. I'm also a little confused if the cable had the orange or black sheath on my model? My car was is a July 69 build

Do i have to buy one of the NOS cables on the internet, red sheath is $450 and the other one has a black sheath and is selling for $850??

Hi Grahame, my July '69 L71 has the orange. As far as I know they only reproduce the black.

Thanks Graeme, Do you know who supplies the correct one? I can only find references to the longer one that suppliers refer to as "is functional" on the Tri Powers.

Hi Grahame, Doc Rebuild used to sell them.Don't know if he still does.
He had the black ones (NOS) for $37.50.
I guess you can shorten a cable ?
