Hey Joe... Is the correct cross drilled , tuftrided, L 78 /L88 crankshaft still available ? I still have my original but it would need work .Thanks Bill

The L-78 and L-88 crankshafts wee not the same. The L-78 crankshaft, last available as GM #3882841, was discontinued without supercession in June, 1988. The L-88 crankshaft, last available as GM #3967811 (and the best 427 crankshaft GM ever offered) was discontinued without supercession in February, 2000. So, they're both "long dead".

You can get a forged, 4.0" stroke, cross drilled, tuff-trided 454 crankshaft, though. GM #3963524. About 900 bucks, GM list.
