    36.5 gallon fuel lines

I know it's a lot to ask but could someone please post pictures of the fuel lines as they are attached to the bottom of a 36.5 gallon fuel tank? Thanks in advance.

It would be of assistance to know what year the car is?

Perry -- I don't have the '63 AIM, but I see the '65 '66 & '67 versions all show the same part #'s for the sump X-over (called pipe extension) and the main line (pipe assy.) along the passenger side frame rail. The latter is the same configuration for regular tanks or N03 forward of the point shown on sheet 4 of UPC N03. There's another part # for big blocks because of the bend and extra length where it turns to the fuel pump. I can't find the group # for these fuel lines in the parts catalogs.

Anyway, here's 4 thumbnails (3 taken just now) and a big pic taken years ago. To fully describe the lines, you'd need to jack up the car for proper pics.

First thumbnail is the fitting at the bottom passenger side; one hose is connected to the frame line and the other connects to the X-over line to the driver side bottom sump. This X-over is not straight as shown in the AIMs, but dips under the differential and is higher on either side for clearance from the exhaust pipes (bottom edge of thumbnail #3). Last thumbnail shows X-over line held by clip.

        Hope this helps.
P.S. this is on an early '65.

Wayne, thank you for going the extra mile and taking the photos and posting them for me. They helped a lot. I do have a couple of questions. Are the drain plugs original as mine are different than yours? The line clips appear to be attached with pop rivets. Is this correct? Again, thank you.

A few more pics; the first is of the hose connections (probably original) removed back in Oct 1987, as they were weeping/dripping. They were so rotten the ends crumbled when removed. Tower clamps throughout, but replaced with the side screw type (what's the proper name for these clips ?) for safety.

My drain plugs are circle "F-C" headmark, but probably depends on what was readily available in earlier years. What I find more interesting is the markings on the brass fittings. Took the last 2 thumbnail pics of the driver side sump outlet in 2009.

IMO, they are pop rivets holding the clips, although not specified in the '65 AIM.

Thanks again Wayne. I need to do a little more research regarding the attachment of the clips. My car is a '63 and has push in type clips. Interestingly enough, Long Island Corvettes sells reproduction clips that are push in type as well. Regards.

Is it safe to say that the Wittek type hose clamps would be typical rather than the worm gear type ?

I don't think there is any question that the clamps used were the Witteck tower type clamps and not the worm gear type.

Mike, can you tell me how the cross over pipe clips are attached to the fiberglass? Do they push in, screw on, or pop riveted on?
