    54 timing cover bolts

    Does the two bolts that tighten the bottom of the timing cover fron the inside of the pan need sealant? Whats to keep oil from seeping through the threads? Thanks as allways

      Mine seep too......
      my short block builder did not put any thread sealant on the threads.......

          The problem is now I have to drop the pan to fix it. What a stupid set up especially when the pan is nice and tight
