See your Assembly Manual, section U69, sheet A2 and A3; that shows the connection between the two pigtails and where it clips to the instrument panel cross-brace.

rear of U69 1966 radio.jpgThanks John. I am familiar with the sections and pages to which you refer, but I am trying to find out where the wires in the pigtail actually connect to the radio. I think I have found the information I need through discussions with a former GM Corvette employee. He has provided me with photos of the rear of the radio showing the green wire connecting to the screw nearest the transistor on the heat sink and the black wire connecting to the a ground point beneath where the antenna connects to the radio. Thanks again.

Just checked several I have under my bench, and can confirm connections as shown in your photo.
