Assuming you're talking 56-57, the speaker and power pack are a unit that mounts on th right side of the dash, and connects to the radio with a several-pronged wire.

Thanks,I had my car at a shop and they tried to switch it! I havent looked under my dash in some time but I knew what they were trying to give me back wasn't my original.
