    Claus,

    Great Score !!

I will leave it for others to answer , as I am not sure . However the bottom half of the STV is reversed 180 on mine and I think it is correct. However mine is from a 66 . So the question is : is yours or mine reversed 180 from the correct configuration, or was there a difference from 64 to 66 ?

Again , great find and good luck with all the installation !

      Claus,

That foil Harrison label goes on the Evaporator core itself. I don't know which Corvette model year corresponds to #3007630, and I did not find it listed in any of my parts books. The label on my 1967 evaporator core has #3012644 in the first box (with "SAE - AIR - 60" in the second box, same as your picture). I didn't find this p/n listed in the parts books either, but a post in the archives from another member here with a '67 said the same #3012644 evaporator core label was on his car.

I did not find anything in the TDB archives for # 3007630, but someone here will know what model year(s) used that number.

Is this bracket attached with 2 screws the original bracket for holding the evaporator in place in the lid? See the red arrow.Or is it supposed not to be a bracket there?
If so i do not have the bracket but i suppose i can make my own

Also the thinnest tube coming from the evaporator is going to the STV valve on my parts so i suppose that it is correct? See the picture to the right where it is not connected. Just have a red plastic cap

Jim i found this picture of a outer AC unit. I think this is for a 1963-1965 but not 100% sure
But it looks like you are right. I suppose that the bottom half on my STV valve must be reversed 180

My early '65 has the "Sputnik"; aka Absolute Vacuum Regulator" facing inward toward the evaporator core. AFAIK this car's A/C components are unmolested (ie. never serviced and probably inoperative since the '70s ). You can see the AVR down in the dark depths of the pic.

IMO, the bottom "cover" with its 5 attaching screws, to which the AVR is attached, can be orientated in several ways, to no adverse affect other than the ease of attaching the small hose from the vacuum line "T" that feeds both the heater-water shut-off valve and the AVR.

              Claus,
This may be sad but true but in 1971 I bought a wrecked 1967 427/435 HP coupe and had factory air installed because it was not available with the 435 HP.

While putting the front end on it looked like the time to do it.

I was fortunate because my vette was brought to the dealership and I was a line mechanic and bought it salvage.

While the car was in the dealers frame shop I installed the A/C unit which was used off another vette.

That might heat up a few here but I'm COOL about it, after all it was installed at a factory Chevrolet dealership by one of their best mechanics.

              Sad ? true yes.

                Claus,

That bracket is supposed to be there, at least for 1967, the pictures below may be helpful.

Picture #1: original Harrison evaporator core, inside housing.
Picture #2: Evaporator core removed from housing. Four arrows indicate the clips on Evaporator bracket and four arrows indicate corresponding holes in housing.
Picture #3: Evaporator core, showing location of Harrison label and four Clips on evaporator core bracket
Picture #4: Imprint of Evaporator core bracket (and two of the four Clips) on interior Seal of Housing.

There is also a screen that is held to the Evaporator core with four white plastic pins. In the thread I referenced earlier, Doc Rebuild also added a second screen to the opposite side of the evaporator core.
