Harrison Radiator Code Date for 1966

What month was a radiator made with a code date stamped "66 M"? If January was "A" and Feb "B" and so on, some letters must not have been used in order to get to "M" before the end of 1966.Thanks for any help.

Doug, I believe the letter L was not used, M= DEC.

Doug - Both the 66 & 67 Manuals state "(the letter "I" is not used)" on small black radiators. Pete

        Doug -

As a general rule, the (raised) date codes on GM castings used the "I" character; stamped date codes didn't.

          John,

OK. I'll bite. Why didn't stamped codes use the I? Was that character more likely to serve as an initiator for cracks? Or confused with the number 1?

And sometimes the difference between a cast letter "I" and numeral "1" was subtle.

This is from a Sept 11th 1968 diff carrier I have.

On stamped date codes, "I" was sometimes used interchangably with "1". I don't remember the circumstances for this, but the characters are close enough in appearance that they could be confused with each other.
