    Corvette Restoration Shop in East TN

    Checking to see if anyone might know of a Vette Restoration Shop in the general proximity to Oak Ridge, Lenoir City or Harriman, Tennessee. I know of Hillbilly Vetts in Kingsport, butwould like to keep it a little closer to home if possible.

      Classic Automotive Restoration Specialists (C.A.R.S.) in Belews Creek, NC does excellent work. Belews Creek is just north of Winston-Salem, which is about 3-4 hours from you. They will come and pick up your car, and deliver it when done, if you wish. Jim Barber and his staff have considerable experience and I recommend them, if you are willing to go to a shop that far away.

          I would not look past Hillbilly Vette Shop in Kingsport 1 423 323-9494. Their work is reasonable and outstanding! They will be at Corvette Expo this weekend in Knoxville or Pidgeon Forge.

              Try to go to the Expo this weekend if possibe. There should be some good contacts there.

                  Last time I talked to them, Hillbilly Vette Shop had a long waiting list and don't work on
                  anything but mid-years.

                  If you just need a paint job I can reference a good one in Knoxville.

                  There is also a place in Knoxville called Corvette Specialists that is good,
                  although I haven't talked to them in a while. They are on Lonas Road in
                  West Knoxville.

                  Be careful and research well.

                      Thanks for the info folks, I have an old 69 L89 roadster that needs some restoration work. I know of a shop in North Alabama that does excellent work but I would like to keep it as close to home as possible,

                          That shop in Alabama is not that far away. Their shop rate is $68.00/hr. The guy to talk to
                          is Adrian Walden. I think they've got a waiting list, maybe 3-4 months.

                          Hillbilly Vette Shop doesn't work on anything later than 1967.
