1967 SB Fan Clutch Rebuilder of choice

I need this fan clutch rebuilt and I see two ads in the driveline for members that do this work. One states about $300 and one says $175. Would anyone care to share their experieinces/costs/performances on these vendors?

    The vendors are:
    Pampered Corvettes # 32822
    Kirkconnell # 47432

You can send me a PM if you don't want tp post your opinion publicly.

    Thanks

    Jerry

I sent my clutch to Vinni Catalano(sp?) and he did nice work. Nice attention to detail. They say you get what you pay for, and have no experince with other advertiser so I can't say one way or the other. I know the other "guy" out there is Fred Oliva who is here in Florida with me...I know he does excellent work as well...Good luck. ARA

I have seen Dan Kirkconnell's work at a swap meet and it was excellent. I haven't had any experience with his work tho.

        Jerry,
Dan Kirkconnell @ www.kirkconnellcorvettes.com did my 63. $200 + shipping. Good comunication and quick turn around time. I am quite happy with it.
Heard Fred has some issues and turn around may be very slow, not sure.

I'm sending one to Dan. I called the others and have a real problem with someone telling me that it will take more than 6 months to do a one day job.

I had my 66 L79 fan clutch restored by Kirkconnell Corvettes, I'm pleased with the work. It needed a new rotor so it cost 240.00 plus shipping, he called when he got it and when he discovered the rotor problem and email tracking info when shipped back. What sold me was the recrimping of the clutch, and quick turnaround 3 weeks because of waiting for the rotor. Do a search of fan clutch for my previous post with pics of my clutch.

I have used both Vinny and Dan. They both recrimp the clutch and they do great work. I would use either one.

Dan has a great turn time and does excellent work. He just did a Schwitzer clutch for me and I couldn't be happier.

Dan Kirkconnel (spelling?) did my fan clutch also. Received full points at Regional judging. Roughly half the cost of the other choice, better turn around time and communication.

                  You decide.

I had Dan do my 67 small block fan clutch. I have not installed it yet but the quality of his work looks excellent, he charged 175.00 and the turn around was fast.
