Recent eBay auction shown in 1st thumbnail. Group 4.651, # 5465725 shows in 1970 P&A30B as a '65-6 Corvette reservoir gasket. I should'a asked the seller what the diameter was; it looks smaller than the one we're all used to seeing, on the right in the 2nd thumbnail, which is 4.0" diameter, and may be #3888045, and identified in the catalog as '65-6 (exc. P.B.) and for M.Cyl Bendix 2225128. Then there's the third gasket (left side of 2nd pic) NOS with package showing #5462995. this is 3.0" diameter, and shows in the '65 P&A30 [Rev. july 1. 1965] as for '65 Corvette as well as a bunch of others ('64 G-10 truck, '64-5 passenger, etc.). In the same '65 catalog, there's another '65 Corvette (exc. P.B.) for the Bendix 618959 M.Cyl, gasket # 3871542; no pic available.. In all my catalogs, there's no listing for a '64 Corvette gasket. Is one of the above correct for this application, and was never corrected over 5 years of catalog updates ? And what's up with all these different configurations / part #'s ?

Re: Help sort out 3 types '65 Master Cylinder (no P.S.) gaskets
Wayne,
Hint is available in preceeding group 4.650: Cylinder Assy. They combined 63 and 64 (first line) as well as 65-66 all into the same part # 5464275 (7/8") which has to be drum brake master.
Looks like SPO had the misconception that the '65 drum brake substitution option lingered into '66. To be consistent, that misconception also extended to the cover gasket. My guess is the first small gasket is intended for a '64 drum brake master.
No idea on your third part number.- Top
