    New Forward Wiring Harness

I am installing a new M&H headlight and engine harness. I am missing the special clip #3788712 from the left fender just above the windshield washer bottle. The AIM calls out a #9424862 Rivet. Can anyone tell me what type of rivet this is and where I might get one? Also for the clip I plan on using the LIC #8-13/#37-20A, it is the metal J clip with the end dipped in black rubber, am I on the right track? I also plan to use this clip on the heater box stud. Thanks for your help.

    Ted -

That's an ordinary 1/8" pop-rivet, and it should be body color - it was installed in the Body Shop, prior to Paint; the same rivet and clip were used opposite, on the right side, for the heater blower wires.

Thanks for your reply John, much appreciated. Now a follow up question; is there an exact measure for the location to drill the hole and which way should the open part of the clip face? Is the location the same on both sides?

        Ted -

The driver's side hole is 11" forward of the rear corner of the hood opening, and it's 7" forward on the passenger side. The clip is positioned on the outboard side of the vertical flange, with the end of the curl facing outboard.
