Not a good close up, however, I have this one on file. I hope it helps and I hope others will share better pics. My car was missing this bracket too when I bought it. Found it at Carlise a few years back...
Hi Bill,
Good to talk to you! A little snow yesterday afternoon in Mount Airy?
Here are a couple of pictures of the original bracket from my 71.
If you need some dimensions or something just let me know.
Regards,
Alan

This bracket was basically designed for the 1969 alternator split ring case configuration and it carried over into 1970 even though part of its functionality was lost.
The 1969 split ring case configuration had the grounding lug virtually flush with the back of the case half. The bent-over tabs on the end of the bracket were designed to fit over the side of the case and prevent rotation of the bracket when the bolt was tightened. For 1970, the split ring case half was revised with an elevated boss for the ground lug. This raised the bracket far enough off the case that the tabs were virtually useless. So, the tabs became an anachronism.
Thanks for the information on the evolution, err carry over of this bracket Joe. I always wondered why the fit of those "bent over" tabs was so poor. Now I know. This dog learned a new trick today.
I looked for a while. I ended up meeting a fellow NCRS member who just had one he did not need.
I am pretty sure it was the same at least through 1972. It was part of the front wiring harness and does not even have a part number in the AIM.

I was talking to a vendor that had a bunch of alternators at Carlisle this year explaining what I was looking for. He told me he had some back at the shop and would send me one. I gave him my name and address and about 2 weeks later I got a package form him. No bracket, but one of the two pin connectors that plug into the alternator. Since he did this all for free, I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was not what I needed. Sent an email thanking him for his efforts............. I'm still looking.

Tom; FWIW, I've had good luck with Gale Gee when needing this kind of component. You might want to call him at (570) 376-3421. He is usually good about finding what you need and sending it to you. He is a regular vendor @ Carlisle, so if you can wait that long, you might want to call him a couple weeks in advance to make sure he brings one or two (so you can select) with him.

Thanks Don. I'll give him a call.
