1956 to 1962 Windshield Color?

I thought original windshield glass was Clear. Below link shows "Original Green". No JG handy. Archives no info. What were originals?

My 61-62 Judging manual 4th edition (fall 1962, yes it's old) stated that both windshield and side glass is to be CLEAR.

The 56-57 JG sez "clear, not tinted".
