The plastic nut used for the front license plate bracket (and rear license plate) in 1966 was GM 3869819 (UPC 14-A2, item 20).
For 1967 the plastic nut changed to GM 3907444 for the front license plate bracket, UPC 14-A2 (and rear license plate, 14-B2), and this same part number is called out in the Assembly Manuals through at least 1972.
In an older Thread I found photos of new 1972 Corvettes on the dealer lots with two square plastic nuts in the upper part of the front license bracket. What I cannot see in the photos is the back side of this plastic nut, and I don't know how it's different from the 1966 version. The judging guides don't give any detail beyond "white plastic nuts".
Does anyone have photos of known original or NOS examples of the 1966 and/or 1967 plastic nuts?
