    THANKS GUYS I guess that I didn't read your post. I assumed he was talking about the 1970 model Corvettes. I have only been retired & already I might need to start looking at nursing homes because I am starting to get BRAIN FADE.

          I really hate to get back in this discussion bu are you talking about April to June of 1969. If so why the lag of the 1970 model to Dec of 1969?

            my 70 lt-1 is a late june car-12551. it has some may parts on it. i am pretty the carb and the alternator are may parts. did these parts just stock pile or did those plants slow down too? strikes must be hard on multiple levels of people.

              The hourly were on strike, you generally did not want to cross the picket line.

              At times the salary did, and the engineering centers were still open, manufacturing plants affected were down hard.

                About 4 years ago or so I did a Restorer article on a 71 LT-1 built almost immediately post-strike.(#2485--Built 11/27/70.) Component dating was MOST interesting--that's why I wrote the article.
