Up to six months prior to the car's final assembly date, as with other dated components; however, 2-6 weeks is more typical. If you're buying a new DeWitt's reproduction, they'll date it for you. If you're thinking about buying a used original, DON'T.

My June 28 built 1965 had a 65C radiator.
