Who currently reproduces the correct 1966 hood weatherstrip?
Does anyone know if any one of the current suppliers reproduce the correct size hood weatherstrip for 1966? I am pretty sure the originals are much thinner than what is now available.
Everything I see its too large.

I just installed an original (30 year old NOS GM piece) on my hood and it is so stiff that the hood closes hard. I ordered a repo piece from LI corvette and it is about the same size although shaped differently and is much softer. Don't know yet whether or not I will remove the NOS and install the repo or not. I ran into the same situation with my NOS door seals. They are so hard that the doors don't close well in fact on one of the doors,the hard seal caused the new paint to crack. I will have to repaint the door and then install repo softer seals.
