    randy hickman of clarksburg, w va bought #5 from ed thiebaud(?spelling) , the turkey farmer from california, in the early 70's. ed originated the the vintage corvettte club of america in about 1970. there is a picture of randy loadding #5 in a U-haul type truck for the trip back to W Va in one of the vintage corvettte club magazines. John Koscis did a remarkable job in restoring ole #5.mike

      At one time there was a web site which featured the purchase and restoration of this car called firstcorvettesold.com. It does not load for me anymore. Anyone keep a copy of it who can repost it? It was very interesting and informative.
