Wayne, I believe Ed is referring to the Corvette C2 Registry. Look up the model year and follow the list looking at the posted 396 cars.

OK, just checked "The Corvette C2 Registry"; they show 62 L78's with the earliest (valid) VIN of 13248. There's another 7 impossibles starting in the low 4-digits, several of them in Europe .
