L88 Decals?

Found these in a bunch of stuff I recently bought from a Corvette owner.
Do the numbers on the box correspond to L88 and if so, where would the decal be used?

They were never installed at the factory. GM sold them across the counter

Sheet B2 of the L88 section of the AIM (page 393 in my edition) is devoted to this label. They were to be affixed to each side of the hood bulge at the rear. As Dick says they were never installed although the sheet was not cancelled.

I have a pair of those I bought back around '71 when I was in Chevy parts. A neat part. Too bad they didn't install them as planned.
