    early '72 frame stencil location

I'm getting ready to put the stencil back on my frame, and due to rusting and 40 years there was no trace of the original stencil. Quanta mentions in their tech guide that somewhere in '72 the location of the stencil was moved to the frame just behind the front axle. My car is a mid-September '71 build, number 2319. Can anyone tell me the correct location for the frame stencil on this early of a car?

Kurt the early 72 cars were stamped pass side in front of rear wheel upside down, ,However my APR. 72 is stamped behind the front wheel.

I think he's asking about stenciling, not stamping.

I don't know if this helps or not, but my '71 (#4001; build date 12/15/70) was stamped below the passenger door as shown in the picture below.

I apologize but, for some reason, I cannot attach the picture I want to send. I seem to have that trouble on this site from time to time. Sometimes, it takes. Sometimes, it doesn't. This time, it doesn't want to add my picture to this entry.

                  Kurt

If memory serves me correctly the number was applied with a roller, not sprayed on, over the stencil and as mentioned earlier was inverted onthe frame.
