I will be looking at a set of 64 KO wheels. The seller says they are original KO knock off wheels that came on the car when new. What markings should I be looking at to verify this? The build date on the car is Jan. 1964 Thanks for any info.........

A far as I know the only marking is a "KH #" on th back side. You can find it in the archives; lots of posts on KO rims. The date codes in 64 were ink rubber stamped and are probably gone by now. Equally important is original spinners with the correct markings on the backs of the ears; these are detectable and judged.

Larry -- Here's the markings on the backside of the ears that Phil mentions; RH is 229 and LH is 230.
I used to have a set of (4) '64's, back in 1979; ink stamp was barely visible on one backside, not at all on the others. The K-H and 'D' number (I think) is also on the '64's [but not the stamped date -- this one's off a '66].
Remember that originals were installed as sets of 5.
