Anyone know where the V.I.N. is on the rear differential if it exists there?

Only the engine, transmission, and frame have VIN derivatives stamped on them. The complete VIN number appears only on the VIN plate.

This is the info on a rear end. Casting # on the housing and on the carrier FB = 4:11 ratio and a date of 5 25 67

And another casting #, this time for the main carrier; for a '67, yours will be 3899143. Pic shows 3818753, which is at least '64 thru early '65. On the opposite side of that "casting clock", you'll find the casting date code of the carrier (ie D-16-7 => April 16th 1967).
