67 427-435 timing chain cover

I have two kinds of BB timing chain covers with welded timing tabs in my parts bin. One has a short timing tab and one has a much longer timing tab (more degrees). Both are for the 8 inch balancer. Were they both used in 1967?

Hi Patrick

390 and 400 hp used the short tab with both ends square.
435 used the longer tab but the top tab part is angled.
Also with dowel pins holes, No nut on the bottom. That is a 65 66 item.

Thank you the information. Fortunately the long tab cover is in the best condition and I will use it on my 435.
