Does anyone out there have or know of someone who has the early 58 correct gas caps? A tough call no doubt. Thanks, Brad.

Brad, looks like it could have eithered been taken apart to blast or crosion ate it........... I would lean on a dissasemably , I know it is tricky to reassemable it, I did it once, took two people to assist when repeaned it in proper position with brass drift, never again.
The 500.oo cap has been reworked & the center rivit has incorrect finished pean or smash.- Top

Re: 58 early gas caps
Gary, when I viewed web sight cap looks a little thin or they smashed it too hard & have grane lines, other than that, I guess it is better to have this one than totally incorrect one on car. Also I don't know if at 300.oo if I would want to leave this one unattended at a show either......- Top

Re: 58 early gas caps
OJ Exterior on 58-60 at the National in Novi. One car had the Stant cap which was judged as being correct except for the patina. No deductions. Also saw one at a chapter meet. No deductions. I'm sure there are some minor issues, but for the price you can't beat it- Top
