Have been looking at a few LT1's lately and have noticed that the font on the "O" in the date codes seem to vary. it seems the early 70 cars have more of a round looking "O" and the later 70 and 71's that I have seen have more of a square looking "O". I only notice this in the date code and it seems to be only on the second "O" if it has one. Any thoughts?
I've seen both style 0 and O in the same stamp. Generally it did not depend by year, and any small block will show either character; it does not depend on the option code.

There are three distinct 0's used. A "square, oval, and, pretty much round.
