I need to see where the strap is located on the inner fender and what it even looks like. After hours of searching, I can`t find Terry`s picture.
Any pics of 70 small block overflow hose strap and routing?

Pat, that is not what I had in mind. My 1970 has a copper/brass radiator and the overflow hose -- the one from just below the radiator cap, fits into this plastic strap-like retainer. It is hard to get a photograph because it is down low on the inner fender where the sun don't shine.
Steve, I can get to it Friday or Sunday if no one else comes forward. I'll just take another picture.Terry- Top

My hunch is that removing it in one piece would be a challenge. How about you buy the whole car? Could you lower yourself to own a small block? You look like a big block kind of guy.Terry- Top

No Terry,
Once I know what it looks like, I will trudge through junkyards and swap meets to look for one.i don`t mind looking as long as I know what the devil I am looking for
The only other question I have would be could I find this on another Chevy like a Camaro,Chevelle or Impala?
I have a feeling that this part is in the hen`s tooth category.- Top

Steve
I think I have seen it, or at least something very similar on other Chevrolet models -- but I can not remember what. Sounds like we need the part number genius to work on it.

Thanks Terry,
Yea, I know I would not be lucky enough to get an exact one. But it will do till when or if I get the correct one. Besides, a ballpark one is better than nothing at all.- Top
