Any ideeas where to find the overflow hose and clip for a 70

I do not have a clip on my radiator passenger side tank and the hose is thick walled and ribbed. The guide says it should be thin walled and no ribs. I have looked at 4 vendor sites and found nothing but ribbed hoses. Also if I get a clip(doubtful) where on the side tank.

Typically, original hoses are found ribbed, so that is what is reproduced. Usually, in the case of hoses, the rib configuration and number is a code for the manufacturer. So, I expect that different manufacturers manufactured these hoses.

These hoses were definitely of thin wall construction, though. They have no reinforcing fiber like fuel and radiator hoses. If your hose has ribs and no reinforcing fiber, I would consider that it's original even though it might be thicker than other original hoses.

As far as a replacement, you'll need to use what's available. Not every possible original configuration hose is going to be available in the reproduction market.

As far as a hose clamp goes, I can tell you that my late-build 1969 was never originally equipped with a clamp on this hose. Curiously, the AIM specifies no clamp.

Steve as Joe stated the hose is a thin wall type. The clip for a 70 TFP was a plastic strap attached to the right inner fender about 1/2 way down the height of the Radiator. The spring clip on the radiator for the hose was for 71 and 72 if your car is very late 70 production it could use this type. If you need this style spring clip check with me at Carlisle Row K about space 58 I may have one for you.

I am pretty sure my 1970 radiator has the spring clip on it, but it is not used. The overflow hose passes through the plastic strap you mention. It has been a while since I looked at that though, and I know I took and I think posted a photo of it a year or two ago. My photo files are in disarray though so there is a better chance of finding the image in the archives than my finding it in my files.
