my 66 is an L79 no air & no power steering. In another thread the correct alternator pulley was identified as GM #3871242. When I look at pulleys available from the usual suppliers, it is difficult to decipher the descriptions.
Paragon normally cross references the GM #, but they don't have a Paragon part numer cross referenced to the GM 3871242.
LIC has a listing (see picture below) that is "ALT PULLEY (390-435HP NO P/S NO A/C,365HP A/C) 66-7 327/350HP NO P/S, NO A/C", so I assume this one is correct. They don't show the OD but from the photo it looks to be about 7/8" thick.
Does anyone know where to get a correct alternator pulley for my application? I'm happy to use a reproduction if I can just make sure I'm getting the correct one.
Does anyone have a picture to share of a correct one installed on a 66 L79 no air/no power steering?
Lastly, is there a separate fan that gets installed behind this pulley?
Thanks,
Don Harris
