I've spent $1,400 and I get in the car and it won't turn over. Sometimes you just get out and wait 10 minutes and it starts right up. Changed the starter. Put in the steering column lock-out switch. They've re-programed the computer. You lock it and reach thru the open window and unlock it, open the door and the alarm goes off. Get in, put in the key and alarm goes off. Then sometimes it will start right up. Sometimes I have to do this 10 times to get it to start. Sometimes it will start up 25 times without a miss. I took it to the Chevy garage and they didn't want to work on it but anyway they say it will take a new "bmc" (body control module)?? But they won't guarantee it will fix it and it costs $1,800 more $$. Does anyone know what it could be? When it's running it runs great! Does anyone know anything about this "bmc"?

I own a 01' C5 myself, and these cars are prone to electrical issues, the best advice I can give you is to go to the C5 section of the Corvette Forum website and post your problem there, and ask for Bill Curlee's help.
He is the "MAN" when it comes to C5 electrical issues.
I believe there is someone that repairs BCM's if that is the problem. Bill helped me troubleshoot my problems and it turned out to be the ignition
switch(burnt contact points inside) they also have alot of ground issues.
