Does anyone know if the front y-pipe gm# 14030150 applies for both a 4-spd and automatic vehicles? Supposedly this y-pipe is for 81 vettes only.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Yes, the front "Y" pipe GM #14030150 is applicable to both manual and automatic transmissions. Unfortunately, like virtually all other 1953-82 Corvette exhaust system components, it's been discontinued. For this piece, that occurred in July, 1996. So, to buy one from GM, you'd be 15 years too late. Such a pipe might be available from Walker or Arvin-Marymount, though
