    1969 Trim Tag

The Trim Tag on a 1969 corvette reads for the built date " G08" which means the built date was" 8. february 1969".The NCRS shipping data report says that the GM official Production date was the 10.february 1969.
the 8.february 1969 was a saturday- is this the reason for the difference? or is the trim tag wrong?

Nothing's wrong. The trim tag is dated the day it was stamped and attached to the car on the assembly line. The car was actually completed usually 1-3 days later.

Passed the station on the line where the trim tag was attached on Saturday the 8th. Rolled off the assembly line and considered "complete" by GM for invoicing purposes on the Monday the 10th. The line did not run on Sunday (the 9th).

The car may or may not have shipped from St. Louis on the 10th, but it would not have been too long after that. Do you have a date for when the original dealer received the car?

There is a car invoice dated 19.february 1969 signed by the original purchaser.
