Anyone know the correct part numbers for the left and right 327 with a/c and a.i.r. system exhaust manifolds, and are these hard to come by.

Re: 68 327 A.I.R Exhaust manifolds
I believe the casting number for the left side is 3872765 and the casting # for the right side is 3872778.
This was what I found when researching for my restoration several years ago of my 68 327 L79 with A/C and A.I.R.
Build date May 10, 1968
As I recall it wasn't very difficult to find them at the time but that was 3-4 years ago; might be harder now.

I agree with Kurt's input. You should be able to find the right part number manifolds pretty quickly. Check e-bay. If you want the date code to be correct, you may have to look for a while to find that. I believe they used the same part number manifolds for several years on the 327and 350 engines. They certainly are not rare.- Top

...I don't know how hard to come by the driver's side one is, but on a '68 the base of where the alternator bolts to is integrated with the exhaust manifold-don't know if the mid-years or '67 was set-up this way or not?- Top

Yes, some mid year applications used the left side manifold with the forward-facing alternator mount. In fact, this style manifold was made in both 2" and 2-1/2" outlet. However, all 1966+ used the 2" outlet version. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Yes, these manifolds are not too difficult to find (but more difficult than they used to be). Dates are not too big of a problem since the dates on these are on the rear side of the manifold and difficult or impossible to see with the manifold mounted on the engine.
Big problem: many of those for sale will have serious pitting and/or frozen exhaust studs. I wouldn't touch a pitted manifold; to me they look horrible. I'd much rather use a NEW reproduction manifold even if there are minor configuration differences. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I think that Paragon's are about as good as there are out there. In fact, I don't know if there are any others on the market that could be called "reproduction" manifolds. There are Chinese-manufactured replacements but these could not be considered as reproductions. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
