What is the correct way to install the original fuel filter gasket? Should the filter go in the glass bowl and the gasket be on top or should the gasket go on the bowl first and the filter flange be on top of the gasket?
Jimmy, check out the 7/25/02 posting "AFB, and fuel filter," by Bill Clippinger.

take the glass bowl and bail and filter element off the filter main body. get ya a new filter that'll include a new rubber seal.insert the filter element into the main body, coat the rubber seal with silicone dielectric grease(sparingly) then install the glass bowl with the rubber seal on the lip of the glass bowl and bail.tighten the star wheel finger tight. back it off 1/16th turn, fire the old girl up and i'll be your problem is solved. good luck, mike
