    1967 trim tag help

When I bought my vette in 1971 it was salvage and the trim tag was removed to prevent it from being put on a stolen car.

I know beyond a doubt what color and options I have as it was low milage and the only thing I saw that was changed was the exhaust, it had headers on it.

My vin search says the final assembly date was Wed May 03, 1967

It is goodwood green metalic with dark green vinyl interior

Options are power windows, telescoping wheel, speed alarm, radio.

What should it read if it were there?

    Dom,

There's no quick and easy answer to your question. You need lot more information before one can say what info should be on your trim tag. I recommend that you buy Authentification Library Volume 1 book from the NCRS Store and this will help you put together the pieces.

      John,
What other things do I need? Are under hood options needed?

You need to know the body number, and that isn't available.

You also need to know where the body was built: St. Louis or AO Smith? St. Louis built bodies have "S" prefix on the body number, AO Smith bodies have "A" prefix. Body build date will depend on where the body was built

            OK,
            Body #?
Was that on the trim tag that is missing?

Yes, it is the body sequence number. Each body style from each location started out with body 1 and incremented as each body was built. For St Louis bodies, the sequence is pretty tightly related to the VIN. For AO Smith, because of the lag time from shipping the bodies, the correlation is looser.
