I found this article originally published in 1967 Road & Track. I found it really interesting:
Original owner bought a 1964 corvette for $4100 including tax and 1/2 year license. Upon receipt of the car here is what he found wrong with it:
1. A broken spark plug.
2. The side windows wouldn't roll up with the doors shut.
3. Splotchy paint on top cover panel.
4. The passenger seat rattled furiously.
5. Leaks around the windshield.
6. The steering had a massive squeak in it.
The article then goes on to describe all the "problems" the owner had during the first 36,000 miles. Really interesting in my opinion. Enjoy.
