68 with steering stabilizer shock pliacel
The 68 300 hp 4spd air car that my friend ownes has a steering stabilizer shock mounted to the standard steering , the jg book has nothing in it about a shock mounted to standard steering and the aim shows one that has canceled on it. this car has a pliacel shock on it that is in really nice condition but i want to know if it shoud be there or not it is sn 19*** or may built 68 conv.

My 68 original owner convertible has the steering stabilizer and it is the original one from the factory on this 327/350HP 4-speed M21 car built in FEB 1968.Comment

Note that the date on the cancellation of the stabilizer was 4-20-68. That change probably did not occur on the assembly line until at least a month later. By that time, most of 1968 Corvette production had been completed.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment

Don't expect the TIM&JG to cover every nuance of Corvette production. That will not happen in my lifetime or yours.TerryComment
