        I?
No claim at all - The seller is claiming 427/390, to start looking as what's being sold, less a complete powertrain is odd, 327 hood, missing key pictures, where the substantiation that this is a 427 car?

Smells like a claim. I'm think'n your making a claim or why would the thread have been started.

Watch and observe - start by recording the VIN. See you in less that 5.

This is not a factory air convertible.

My first comment is that unless anybody here is interested in buying this car, who cares. I don't care or need to have it pointed out every time there is a car on E-bay, that may or may not be what it is claimed. Not every corvette out there is numbers matching, or an original big block. I think that it is funny, that when an actual technical question is asked, there are almost no reponses, except from a few individual. When there is some thread like this, every "expert" on the forum is coming out of the woodwork.

The ad specifically says "the original chassis and motor are not available." So what are we talking about? So, it's no longer a numbers matching 427 or 327 car. In this case, it appears that the seller is saying that it used to be a 427/390 car, but the original motor is "unavailable." Maybe it was a 427/390. As long as the eventual buyer doesn't put this car back together and pan it off as being "original" (427 or 327 for that matter), no big deal. The current seller doesn't appear to be hiding anything. He's selling it as a "project" without the original motor. Okay with me. Am I missing something??

He says that right after he says "The car is all original"......Duh.

It appears that all that he's selling is the body. Is that correct?

Yeah, maybe the part he's selling is "all original." It's just not the entire car. Who knows..... Who cares.
