    C1 (1960) no radio option cover plate

    I'm hoping someone who has an original radio block off plate can help me. I need to confirm the dimensions. The TIM & JG says it is made of aluminum and measures 2.4" x 8". I've found only on place that makes a repro, bought one and it is not the correct size. It measures 2 1/4" x 9" and is not aluminum.

    I plan to make one myself out of flat aluminum stock. If you have a correct one, could you please measure and let me know the dimensions. I believe the TIM & JG measurement is correct as I made one from wood and it fits more like the picture in Nolan Adam's book.

    Mostly I need to know approximately how thick the stock should be. Also in the picture in Nolan Adam's book, the edges seem to be eased some on the face side and the corners slightly rounded.

          I found the article on the Restorer CD, and yes, it tells me everything I need to know.
