69 Headrests

Looking for a nice set of 69 headrests for a fellow NCRS member. He has black interior; however, he is willing to dye them if they are a different color. Any suggestions? Thanks! Mark

This may not be what you have in mind but I searched high and low a couple of years ago for missing headrests for my 69. I bought a set of the spade units from Piper's Corvette Parts and then sent them to Corvette America to have the "correct" foam and vinyl added. I was reasonably pleased with the work, although I had to send them back the first go around due to sloppy workmanship, and they look nice. However, in the past year or so, Al Knoch is advertising new complete headrest assemblies. I didn't notice the price, but it would probably be more reasonable than how I went about it. My seats were done by Knoch and they are very nice. Those pieces are really rare it seems. Also there is a guy in CA that has an unbelievable supply of surplus parts and probably has some used spades. If the above 2 prospects don't work for you, email me and I'll find the phone number of the guy in CA for you (he's a bit pricey).

These headrests are now reproduced and available from Al Knoch in all original colors. I have not actually seen them, but from the photos I've seen, they look excellent.
