I have searched the forum and think I have the answer but just wanted to confirm. I have a red 66 convert with black interior. I understand that the body line behind the seat / rear door area is masked up the middle and painted ext color on the outside and int color on the inside. Also the quarter trim panel that fits in behind this area is also painted interior color. Lastly I assume interior color (since its black) would be the standard semi gloss (krylon 1613 semi flat as an example) gloss level. Can someone confirm all of the above before I paint. Thanks! Joe

Re: 66 Rear Interior quarter trim panel paint
Joe,
If you're comparting semi-gloss black to that of Krylon 1613, both are worlds apart in gloss level. 1613 runs somewhere between satin and flat. Believe you 're looking for a gloss level somewhere between semi-gloss but closer to satin for the rear trim quarters.- Top

Re: 66 Rear Interior quarter trim panel paint
Thanks, I looked in the archives and there seems to be varied opinions here and could not find a good reccomendation. Any thoughts on the appropriate brand / color rattle can option or should I break down and get them painted? If so any paint mix recommendations. Thanks!- Top

Small area, shaky can will work.....easy job. Just get the panels prepped and blast'em. Corvette America sells the interior color that will work. Purchased mine through Keen Parts...Kyle or Kevin.- Top
