    radiator 61 corvette

    looking for confirmation on which radiator sould be installed in my 61 corvette 315Hp fuelie. my vin is 10867s110390, engine code f 0512 cs,block 3756519 dated D241.

    As per the JG, aluminum radiator with separate aluminum expansion tank.

      another item i read is that until midyear all 61 radiators were unpainted. yours being a late car will be painted a black enamel.

        I do not think the GM #3151116 uses a separate supply tank. At least, GM says that the 3151116 is configured with an integral top tank.

        The GM #3150916 does use a separate supply tank.

        As far as I can tell, the GM #3150916 was used for all late 1961 applications, regardless of engine, and was used for all 1962 Corvettes.

          Nooland is a good friend. He has admitted that there are a number of errors in his book--you need to look at GM documentation, previous articles in the Restorer, and many original unmolested cars to get a true picture for what really happened.

            thanks joe, with the information you and mike have provided i now have the numbers straight. the late date code on a 3151116 radiator had me confused!

              so does every one agree that I should be using the 3150916 coase some one just informed me of a 3147516 that I possibly should be using
